Updated Synopsis –
The story tells from the viewpoint of little Jenny who has a wild imagination and a unique interpretation of things. She suspects that her elder sister Jamie is pregnant. Driven by her curiosity and fascination of her new discovery, Jenny plunges further into the investigation of Jamie’s secrets, and even to the extent of intruding her privacy.

This self-funded student short film will be shot on 16mm film, real-life acting mixed with animation and stop motion.

Casts –
1. Little Girl, Jenny:
Looks age 7-9, Chinese, able to speak English & Mandarin

2. Teenage Girl, Jamie:
Looks age 12-18, Chinese, able to speak English & Mandarin

3. Mom:
Looks mid 30s to mid 40s, Chinese, able to speak English & Mandarin

4. Teenage Guy, Shah:
Looks age 12-18, Malay, able to speak English

Final Audition Call on 1 Nov (Sat) –
Time: Any time, can be arranged
Location: Ngee Ann Polytechnic (exact location TBA)
Notes: If you’re keen on this project but can’t make it for the audition date, we can arrange another time slot for you

Shooting Details –
Date: 7-9 & 14-16 Nov
Notes: Food provided
Fees: SGD300-SGD600 for casts per production (depending on roles; negotiable)
SGD50-SGD100 for minor roles per day (depending on roles; negotiable)

Introduction & Casting Call

Calling out for everyone and anyone who loves acting or would love to take part in one!

“Bottle of Cookies” is a short film about a 9 year old girl, Jen, who’s having difficulties dealing with her studies, mainly due to her short attention span and disinterest in it.

Being brainwashed into believing that the only key to success and happiness is to drill herself into getting good grades, Jen tries to gain her mother’s acknowledgment by studying… or we think she is.

Her mom, a single parent, has to juggle career and home, resulting in a negligence towards her only daughter. This lack of communication and understanding between the two characters create an awkward relationship and a whirlwind of imaginations and interpretations.

How’s Jen getting around the entire stereotype and system the society believes in?

Shooting Dates: 31-2 Oct & 7-9 Nov (weekends)

We need tons and tons of KID EXTRAS too! Preferably aged 8-10, regardless of race/religion/whatever.
